Business case writer and consultant

Working closely with the project team, I authored the Outline Business Case (OBC) using the Five Case Model for a coastal management scheme that will deliver over £4Bn in benefits. This £300M+ business case progressed swiftly through Environment Agency and Defra assurance and was awarded HM Treasury approval.

My summary of the economic and financial cases was acclaimed by Defra Group Commercial colleagues (economists and financial experts) as a model template. I produced key quality assurance information, such as the Integrated Assurance and Approvals Plan, and the Risk Potential Assessment that demonstrated key risks. I used my significant experience to guide the project team when necessary and help them to successfully justify our scheme.
